Since being elected as the 2nd Ward representative to the Newport City Council in 2014, it has been a great privilege representing the residents of the 2nd Ward.

 

In 2020, I was elected At-Large representing all Newport residents.

 

I currently serve as Council Liaison to the following organizations:

• Newport Partnership for Families 

• Newport for All Ages

• Edward King House Senior Center

• Tourism Improvement District

• Rogers High School/Pell Elementary Building Subcommittee

• Washington Square Advisory Commission

 

Lynn has lived in Newport for 40 years and has spent years volunteering in Newport.  

She is a former Cranston Calvert PTO President, 2007 Charter Review Member, Zoning Board of Review Vice Chair, Newport Public Education Board Member, Newport 375 Anniversary Committee Member.

She is married to Vincent Ceglie and

mother of Mia and Chase, proud Rogers High School graduates.

Mia graduated from Rhode Island College in 2018 and

Chase graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2017.
